Hanoi Library completes renovation with support from South Korea

On April 18, the Hanoi Library  i n co-operation with COPION Organization (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea) inaugurated  the project to renovate the library to make it more modern.    With the funding of VND44 billion (US$1.9 million) from South Korea, the Hanoi Library has new reading rooms, more equipment, furniture, books, and newspapers. Valentine Concert 2023: From Italy with Love

According to the organizing commitee, “Valentine Concert 2023 – From Italy with love” is the opening event marking 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Italy. For 2 nights – Feb 11 and 12 – the music night becomes a cultural bridge when Vietnamese artists performed classic pieces by Italian composers. Documentary Featuring Vietnam’s Post-War Reconstruction Efforts Screened in US

Photo: TG&VN A documentary titled “Picking up the Pieces” featuring Vietnam’s post-war reconstruction efforts has recently premiered in New York, the United States, VOV reported Tuesday. The screening of the film made by the Downtown Community Television Center (DCTV) in 1978 coincided with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords and aimed to honour Cora Weiss, former chairwoman of the Board of Directors of DCTV. She was a famous peace activist, a close and long-time friend of Vietnam who participated in the anti-Vietnam war movement in the 1960s. Attending the premiere were Vietnamese Ambassador to the UN Dang Hoang Giang, many ambassadors, heads of delegations from other countries, the UN Secretariat and many American friends.
