Central Vietnam is currently experiencing an extreme heatwave, with temperatures soaring to 37 degrees Celsius. The weather from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai is hot, dry, and uncomfortable. The coastal areas from Da Nang to Binh Thuan are particularly affected, with high temperatures increasing the risk of forest fires. In the evenings, temperatures drop to a slightly more bearable 27-29 degrees Celsius, and the sky remains clear. Tomorrow, the Southern region can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will range from a pleasant 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding provinces will experience cloudy conditions with rain and the possibility of thunderstorms. Temperatures in this area will be between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius. Downpour Claims Three Lives, Inflicts Property Losses in Ha Giang

Swept away by flash floods, their bodies were recovered by authorities after a lengthy search. Lo Thi Cho, a 42-year-old woman, tragically lost her life in a landslide triggered by the relentless downpour. The rainfall intensity was staggering, with Thuong Son commune in Vi Xuyen district recording 320mm of rainwater, and Quang Ngan commune measuring 279mm. Preliminary assessments indicate significant damage: 350 homes submerged in Ha Giang City, 4 flooded houses in Hoang Su Phi district, and 3 completely collapsed homes in Xin Man and Vi Xuyen districts. The deluge also wreaked havoc on agriculture, damaging 0.12 hectares of rice fields in Ta Su Choong commune and submerging numerous crop fields in Ha Giang City. The flooding also took a toll on local livestock farms, resulting in substantial losses of chickens and birds.
