Hanoi’s Thriving Pedestrian Zone Extends Opening Hours for the National Holiday

Vietnam’s Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs announced that civil servants will enjoy a four-day break for the National Day celebrations this year, from August 31 to September 3. The walking area surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake and its neighboring downtown locations has become a cultural hub and a defining feature of Hanoi since 1997. Spanning over 25 streets and alleys in the Old Quarter, this pedestrian zone is closed to traffic from Friday night until the stroke of midnight on Sunday. ...
