Planting the Seeds of Change: Cathay’s ‘1 Ticket, 1 Tree’ Initiative Grows Stronger in its Fourth Year with Cargo Contributions
From July 25 to 31, 2024, Cathay Pacific is launching a special initiative where they will plant one mangrove tree in Southeast Asia for every flight ticket purchased from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia during this period. This includes tickets bought on their website, mobile app, or through corporate clients using Cathay’s agents. The ‘1 Ticket, 1 Tree’ program has been a growing success since its launch in 2021, with 30,000 mangrove trees already planted. This initiative has brought together 13 diverse partners, including corporations, non-profits, and local environmental groups, all working together to educate and empower communities.
