The Command Board of Station 560 Visits Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Ho Dac Thanh On September 1, the Command Board of Station 560, Regiment 451, led by Major Nguyen Bien, Station Political Commissar, visited Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Ho Dac Thanh at his home in ward 5, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province. Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Ho Dac Thanh, former Captain of “ship without numbers” (alias Ship 41), played a crucial role in transporting weapons to Vung Ro Wharf in late 1964 and early 1965. This enabled the provision of weapons, food, and medicines to supply the southern front, contributing to the victory in liberating the South and reunifying the country in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign in 1975. Vung Ro Wharf, located in Hoa Xuan Nam Commune, Phu Yen province, is one of the most important wharves of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea.
