Developing Vietnam’s Cultural Industries: A Guide
Modest investment The cultural and creative industries are some of the fastest-growing industries in the world and are expected to contribute up to 10% of global GDP by 2030. Many countries recognize the increasingly important role of creative culture in the post-industrial economy, driving sustainable development. In Vietnam, the Party and State have implemented guidelines, policies, and laws to develop culture and cultural industries. In a resolution adopted in 2014, the Party Central Committee emphasized the need to build a healthy cultural market, promote the development of cultural industries, and strengthen the dissemination of Vietnamese culture. The 13th National Party Congress in 2021 also identified the urgent task of developing cultural industries and cultural services by leveraging the soft power of Vietnamese culture.
