South Korea to Face Australia, Uzbeks Aim to Surprise at Asian Cup

The quarter-finals of the AFC Asian Cup have been set, with South Korea set to face Australia and Uzbekistan set to play hosts and holders Qatar. The hero for South Korea in their Round of 16 clash against Saudi Arabia was second-choice goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo, who saved two penalties in the shootout. South Korea, led by coach Jurgen Klinsmann, are looking to end a 64-year title drought in the Asian Cup. Saudi coach Roberto Mancini disappeared down the tunnel before the final penalty was taken, a move he later apologized for. South Korea’s midfielder Hwang Hee-chan scored the decisive penalty to secure the win for his team. Klinsmann praised his players’ spirit and heart, and said that the win has given the team a boost of energy. Vietnamese Duo Wears Ao Dai Around the World

“Ao Dai 100” is an initiative to showcase Ao Dai in 100 famous locations worldwide, in order to promote the beauty of Vietnamese traditional clothing. This concept was first conceived by 41-year-old Hoang Thanh Tung and his wife, Quynh Nguyen, in May 2018. Tung shared that six years ago, there was a controversy surrounding Ao Dai in some foreign fashion shows, which caught his attention. It was then that he came up with the idea of using photography to introduce the world to the beauty of Ao Dai. By February 2020, the couple had visited 12 countries and captured 28 photoshoots at various destinations. However, the project had to be put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic and resumed in 2023. “Initially, it was just an album of photos from our travels. Vietnam impresses visitors at cultural festival in Egypt

The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt shows many documents, books and photos on culture, history, land and people of Vietnam, especially its outstanding achievements after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi (renewal). Besides books on tourism introducing attractive destinations and unique features of regions, there also are magazines, photos, maps and documents and documentary screenings on Vietnam and the country’s specialities of fried spring rolls and coffee. The event is party of a series of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Egypt (1963-2023). The Sakia Exhibition for Cultural Services is held annually and allows countries to exchange cultural activities and boost solidarity and mutual understanding. The national workshop, due to take place on February 27, will bring together managers, scientists, and practitioners of culture and art who will examine the historical significance, great value, and influence of the Outline of Vietnamese Culture over the past 80 years. Delegates will propose solutions to effectively promote the value of the document for the purpose of cultural and human development in order to meet the country’s requirements for sustainable development.
