The National Library Unveils a Landmark Exhibition: Illuminating the Art of Korean Script

The upcoming exhibition, “Hangeul – The Korean Writing System,” offers a contemporary perspective on the Korean language for visitors. Showcasing housewares, fashion items, and graphic designs, the exhibition explores the structure of Hangeul and its modern reinterpretations. According to RoK ambassador Choi Young-sam to Vietnam, Korean is the first foreign language taught in Vietnamese schools, with over 60 colleges and universities offering Korean language departments. This showcases the enthusiastic embrace of the Korean wave in Vietnam, surpassing that of any other country. A key highlight of the exhibition is an installation by artist Lee Hwayoung, titled “Hangeul.” It features two doors with graphic designs, symbolizing how language opens a window to a new world in the modern era.
