Asia’s Economic Prowess: How India’s Projected 7.2% Growth Outshines the West

There’s a positive outlook for Asia’s economic growth, especially when compared to other regions. This optimism is shared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), which forecasts a robust growth rate of 7.2% for India in the fiscal year 2025. According to CLSA, the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Asia-Pacific index is projected to experience impressive Earnings Per Share growth (EPSg) of 15.0% in 2024 and 11.9% in 2025. In contrast, the MSCI World index, representing global companies, is expected to see more modest growth of 7.9% and 11.9% in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Looking at specific markets, the US (S&P 500) is forecasted to grow by 10.5% in 2024 and 13.1% in 2025.
