Germany and VCF Improve Maternal and Neonatal Care in Quang Ngai

The handover ceremony for medical equipment took place on December 8.

This project falls under the VCF’s Survive to Thrive program, which aims to reduce the mortality rate of neonates and mothers and enhance the expertise of local healthcare staff. It also seeks to alleviate the burden of transferring patients to higher-level healthcare facilities in challenging rural areas.

The Survive to Thrive program provided the Tra Bong District Medical Center with 11 essential pieces of medical equipment for maternal and child healthcare. The program conducted a two-day advanced pediatric emergency resuscitation training course for 37 healthcare professionals at the Tra Bong District Medical Center and 15 health clinics in the district, focusing on critical skills in pediatric emergency care and treatment, particularly for newborns.
