Relations between Vietnam and Cambodia have grown positively over time with regular contact and meetings, which have helped to establish political trust and promote cooperation in various sectors.
The two countries have maintained existing cooperation mechanisms, including the joint committee on economic, cultural, scientific, and technological cooperation, and the cooperation and development conference between border localities of the two countries.
Economic and trade cooperation is considered a highlight in bilateral cooperation, with two-way trade reaching US$6.5 billion last year.

During his visit, PM Hun Manet will hold talks with PM Pham Minh Chinh to discuss strengthening cooperative relations between the two countries in various fields, including education, culture, trade, investment, tourism, security, and defense.
The two PMs will also exchange views on various regional and global issues of mutual concern, witness the signing of several agreements, and co-chair a Vietnam-Cambodia trade and investment promotion forum.
In addition to meeting with other Vietnamese leaders, PM Hun Manet is scheduled to deliver an important speech on Cambodia’s economic development policy and economic-trade relations between Cambodia and Vietnam at Hanoi Foreign Trade University.
