Sam Son beach tourism season starts in north-central Vietnam

One of the highlights of the beach tourism season this year is the launch of Sam Son Beach Square developed by Sun Group, a major property developer in Vietnam.

With its capacity to house some 10,000 people and a landscape axis measuring 2.6 kilometers long and 120 meters wide, the Sam Son Beach Square is expected to become a leading public space and a festival destination.

The square features significant architectural facilities which are suitable for festivals, outdoor activities, and a wide range of cultural events.

Given the launch of the square, Sam Son City, where it is located, now has a brand new public space which will contribute to the city’s efforts to fulfill its target of serving 7.2 million tourist arrivals by the end of this year and to become a four-season destination.

In addition, the provincial government also celebrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sam Son City at the kick-off ceremony.

In 1963, the Council of Ministers of Vietnam, or the Vietnamese government now, decided to establish Sam Son Town in order to fully tap the potential of the local beach to beef up economic growth.

The ceremony featured documentary video clips and art performances providing information about the foundation and development of Sam Son, as well as honoring the beauty of Thanh Hoa’s local cultural customs.
