Local representative wins Miss Southeast Asia Businesswoman 2023
The conclusion of the event saw 35 contestants compete in the talent show, Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), and evening gown competition.
The top five featured contestants from Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam, with the chosen group entering the Q&A segment.
The first and second runners-up spots went to Pham Thi Ngoc Thanh and Do Anh Sa of Vietnam.
Other Southeast Asian contestants from Laos, the Philippines, and Myanmar won sub-titles, including Miss Media, Miss Fashion, and Miss Sports.
This year marks the first edition of the pageant, which is being organised by the Da Nang administration in collaboration with the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations and embassies of numerous Southeast Asian countries.
The purpose of the contest is to consolidate solidarity and friendship among member states throughout Southeast Asia, as well as encouraging female businesswomen to contribute to the socio-economic development of the region as a whole.
Launched six months ago, all contestants took part in numerous activities, including a photo tour of local tourist destinations, as well as visiting Agent Orange (AO) victims and poor children.
Nuttanan Naree, Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017, joined Vietnamese celebrities to work as a member of the judging panel on the night of March 31.
