Exhibition introduces paintings of the Zodiacal Rat

The exhibition introduces visitors to nearly 100 paintings featuring springtime and the rat – the zodiac animal of the year 2020.

The paintings were created by painters and children in the city using assorted materials and styles, featuring the proliferation of nature and the happiness of people when spring comes.

The Zodiacal Rat is the first in the repeating 12-year cycle of animals in Asian culture. It symbolises agility, intelligence, prosperity, happiness and luck.

According to the museum’s director Ha Thanh Van, the exhibition aims to create a fresh atmosphere for people as Tet (Lunar New Year) draws near, while also bringing the arts closer to the public.

The event is co-hosted by Da Nang City’s Fine Arts Association and the city’s Fine Arts Museum. It is open to the public for free at 78 Le Duan Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District.
